project
Mieterlink was a Greenfield project I delivered for a Berlin-based startup. The web app’s goal was to automate, simplify, and facilitate rental application management for tenants and landlords.
client
Mieterlink is a Berlin-based startup aiming to streamline the rental application process and management.

for landlords
Landlord can use Mieterlink to manage applications for every posted rental. The dashboard allows them to add links to their apartment expose, manage all the documents completion and how well the tenants match the landlord’s criteria.
for tenants
Tenants can use Mieterlink to manage their applications for different apartments. Mieterlink allows them to fill in all necessary forms in the app as well as follow the application process for all the rentals they applied for.

new tenant form structure
The form tenants have to fill in is long and complex, so I separated it into sections to make it more legible and less overwhelming for the users. Each section is a stage with a progress bar, which I also added for the entire form.
application for two
The contract can often include two tenants living in one apartment, and the client wanted to cater to all users. I added the option to add two people in the application process, where one can fill in the forms for both just by switching it in the menu.

Creating the minimum viable product (MVP) is always fun. It is gratifying to work on the client’s idea and see a vision develop and grow into what they imagined it to be. It’s especially wonderful if both sides are committed to making it extraordinary. The Mieterlink project showed me the ins and outs of the process of bringing something to life, and I could not be more proud of the outcome.
